The crassula is a succulent, originating from South Africa, Madagascar and
the Middle East, but it will live quite happily as a houseplant in cooler climates.
It is a sturdy friend, which grows slowly but steadily and is quite forgiving if
neglected. It likes a warm position with good light and is happiest in full sun.
Our plants have enjoyed the benefits of a few months' holiday outside, but
will have to be brought back inside before the first frosts. Indoors in the winter,
aim for 7-10 deg C (45-50 deg F), avoiding extreme high or low temperatures
which the plant may tolerate but will be under stress and won't thrive.   ....more
